This model will be for all car, auto rickshaw and motorcyclists. Let us tell you that cab aggregator companies like Rapido and Ola are already working on subscription based model. Under the subscription model, Uber drivers will no longer have to pay commission to the company on every ride. Drivers can ride on Uber by paying a daily or monthly subscription.
Reason for this decision of the company
The main reason for this decision of the company is the competition from other companies working in this field. Rapido and Ola have already started the subscription model. Due to which they have been successful in getting the drivers on their side. Due to which the company is facing tough competition. Drivers are also preferring the convenience of paying commission once instead of paying commission on every ride, and are increasingly associating with companies like Rapido. Due to which Uber is expected to suffer loss. This is why the company has decided to start the subscription model.
Drivers are liking the subscription model
Under the commission-based model, Uber charges 15 to 20 percent commission from each of its drivers on each ride. Drivers say that this reduces their income significantly. However, if they ride under the subscription model, all the earnings are theirs after paying a fixed amount.
In the subscription model, their earnings are more than before. This is why many drivers prefer to work on a subscription model. Keeping these things in mind, Uber has started daily and monthly subscription models for its drivers.
