UGC NET December 2025: There is good news for the candidates who are dreaming of becoming Assistant Professor. Registration for UGC NET exam has been started by NTA. Interested and eligible candidates can register for this exam by visiting the official website. Candidates can also apply with the help of the steps given below and the direct link given.
According to the notification issued by NTA, this exam will be conducted in different cities across the country and it will include 85 subjects. The examination will be completely in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. There will be two papers in the test and both will be objective type (MCQ) format. No break will be given between the two papers.

NTA will announce the exam city details, admit card release date and exam schedule later on its website. The application process has started from 7 October 2025 and will continue till 7 November 2025 (till 11:50 pm). Candidates can also pay the fees till this day. If anyone wants to correct any mistake in the application, they can make changes in the correction window between November 10 to November 12, 2025.

Candidates applying for this exam will have to pay application fee. General category candidates applying will have to pay a fee of Rs 1,150. Whereas General-EWS and OBC-NCL category candidates will have to pay Rs 600. On the other hand, Rs 325 has been fixed for SC, ST, Divyang and Transgender candidates. After filling the required information, the candidate will have to complete the registration and a username and password will be generated. After this login and fill the application form. Upload the required documents, deposit the fees and double check all the details before submitting. After submission, download the confirmation page and take a printout of it.
