Ujjain bulldozer action: On Friday (May 23) in the religious city of Madhya Pradesh, Ujjain, the administration took bulldozer action. On the way from Hari Phatak Bridge to Begum Bagh near Mahakaleshwar Temple, the team of Ujjain Development Authority along with the Municipal Corporation and police administration has taken action to remove three houses.
Ujjain Development Authority official Sandeep Soni said that a commercial building was made here by going against the rules passed by the Development Authority on the plots. In addition, several pieces of a plot were reduced. Bulldozers have been run in three such cases.
Administration will take action on 50 more plots
Apart from this, there are 50 more plots, with which the Development Authority is preparing a strategy for action. Actually, this is the main road to Mahakaleshwar Temple via Hari Gate to Begum Bagh from which a large number of devotees have to reach the temple. There was also an exercise to widen this route.
Local people are protesting
During this time, the authority has canceled the lease of more than 28 houses. Now action is being taken to remove encroachments, which the people of the area are opposing.
Lease has been completed in 2014
Sandeep Soni, CEO, Ujjain Development Authority informed that this entire area is a plan of Ujjan Development Authority. About a year and a half ago, the Ujjain Development Authority issued a notice to 28 such assets, his lease was canceled, where people violated the conditions of the lease. His lease was over in the year 2014-15 itself. Also, work was done against more conditions, such as work was done without the authority’s permission or a plot was cut several pieces.
After the lease is canceled, property comes under encroachment. The authority has taken this action under the right to remove encroachment. The final order was given in September 2024 for this. The matter went on in the High Court and then action has been taken now.
