Rajya Sabha nominated member Ujjwal Nikam gave his first speech on Tuesday (July 29) in the Upper House. He said that through the court, he has fought a law against terrorism, so his ‘knowledge’ about terrorists is correct. Referring to the 26/11 attack, he said that Pakistan did not take India seriously at that time. One thing was clearly visible in his language, his behavior, his attitude. He was confident that India would not give a decisive reaction nor would take any concrete steps against terror. But that India was then not now.
Now India does not remain silent, gives a direct answer- Ujjwal Nikam
Ujjwal Nikam said that our government has made it clear through Operation Sindoor that only we do not fight in the files, we answer in the field. India no longer endure, India now resolves. Now India does not remain silent, India gives a direct answer.
Change from leadership and government’s decisive thinking- Nikam
The Rajya Sabha MP said, “The Pakistan, which once used to take India lightly, is now afraid of India’s reaction. This change is not only a policy, leadership and the decisive thinking of the government. Narendra Modi’s government is thinking.”
Along with this, he said that on Operation Sindoor, he further said that we neither insulted the sect of Pakistan nor blew the bugle of war. We only targeted those bases of terror, from where the conspiracy to attack our country was being hatched again and again.
Operation Sindoor was not an answer but a message- Nikam
Ujjwal Nikam also said that we tried to ensure Pakistan’s accountability on international forums. But when terrorist guns turned to our innocent citizens, India broke its silence and Operation Sindoor was not an answer but a message. He said that this operation was not only a journey from a military point of view, but also introduced enlightenment from diplomatic point of view. We ensured that no innocent citizen was casualty. We ensured that India’s image was even stronger as a responsible democracy.
