The Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission’s graduate level examination has been canceled by the Dhami government. The state government was waiting for the report of the single-member inquiry commission formed regarding this examination. Let us tell you that the Commission had conducted this examination on September 21, in which about 1,05,000 candidates had appeared.
Paper leak case increased students’ concern
The recent paper leak case of graduate level examination in Uttarakhand had created an atmosphere of anxiety among the students and their families. Seeing the seriousness of this matter, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami decided to take it seriously. He constituted a single-member inquiry commission headed by Justice UC Dhyani, retired from the Uttarakhand High Court, along with the SIT (Special Investigation Team) to investigate. The main objective of this commission was to conduct a thorough investigation of the paper leak in an impartial manner and find out the culprits.
Information collected through public communication
The inquiry commission fulfilled its responsibility seriously. The Commission organized public meetings in Dehradun, Haldwani and many other cities of the state. During this, opinions and experiences were taken from students, candidates and teachers. Candidates told that the incident of paper leak in the examination left them mentally very disturbed. Teachers and school heads also started advising to take appropriate steps in the interest of the students. The Commission prepared its report keeping these suggestions and experiences in mind.

Demand to cancel the exam
Apart from the public dialogue and report, students, their families and political parties also demanded cancellation of the examination. On Friday, the BJP MLA delegation met Chief Minister Dhami and said that in the interest of the students, the examination should be canceled and a new examination should be conducted.
