Heavy rains in Jammu have caused havoc. Meanwhile, on Wednesday (August 27), Chief Minister Omar Abdullah visited the fourth bridge of Tawi in Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu. Here he took stock of the loss.
Along with sharing its picture, CM also remembered the 2014 disaster and asked what we learned? Omar Abdullah said, “Two pictures of 2014 floods and two pictures of 2025 floods. Nearly the same place and almost the same loss. What did we learn from the 2014 floods? What steps have taken to improve in the last 11 years?
CM said, “Which flood management measures have been implemented since October 2014?” These are all such questions whose answers will be sought from the government elected by the public, because the last 48 hours have proved to be an eye -opening incident.

Omar Abdullah said, “We have got some relief compared to yesterday. The rain has almost stopped here. Water is coming out of the low -lying areas. This bridge was washed away due to flood. There is such a danger in this corner, which we could not understand. Opinion will be taken from the expert here. You have to think about the houses along the river. ”
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and PM Modi spoke about the damage caused by rain in Jammu. CM wrote on X, “I informed PM Modi about the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. Especially the most affected areas. I visited those parts of Jammu which are on the banks of the Tavi River. There has been heavy loss yesterday. I am grateful for his assurance that the people of Jammu and Kashmir will continue to get help.

Please tell that Jammu received heavy rain on Tuesday (August 26). Mata Vaishno Devi died on a trip to 32 people due to landslides. At the same time, four people lost their lives due to cloudburst in Doda.
Jammu, Samba Kathua, Udhampur, Doda and Kishtwar are the most affected by heavy rains. CM said that first we get out of the problem related to this rain, then the loss of houses will be assessed. After that a package will be prepared.
