Semiconductor plant in up: The Modi government has approved India’s sixth semiconductor unit in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh. This will be India’s sixth semiconductor unit. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said about the decision taken in the cabinet and said that one of these unit will start production this year.

Ashwini Vaishnav said, ‘So far 5 semiconductor units have been approved under the Semiconductor Mission in India and there is rapid construction work going on there. Production will start in one of these unit this year. In this connection, another super-advanced unit has been approved. It is a joint venture of HCL and Foxconn.

2000 people will get employment

The Union Minister said that 2000 people will get employment due to approval of India’s sixth semiconductor unit in Jewar. He said, “There will be an investment of 3706 crores in the semi-conductor unit. 3.6 crore display driver chip will be made here every month. Its production will start from the year 2027. HCL-Phuxcon semiconductor plant will have manufacturing 20,000 wafers every month at the HCL-Phuxcon semiconductor plant.”

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that Operation Sindoor shows the strength, leadership and role of our army. He said, “Operation Sindoor is a very important example of India’s identity, the role of our armed forces and the decisive leadership and the new theory that has been created. It is actually a commendable thing for the country. Science and technology was also used in Operation Sindoor. Technology gives great strength to India and laying strong foundations for future.”

‘Latest Design Technology Work on’

The Union Minister said, “The semiconductor industry is now taking shape across the country. World-class design facilities have been established in many states across the country. State governments are making vigorous efforts to promote design firms. Students and entrepreneurs are working on world class latest design technology for the development of new products in 270 educational institutions and 70 startups.”

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said, “Laptop, mobile phones, servers, medical equipment, power electronics, defense equipment and consumer electronics manufacturing in India are increasing with the rapid development of semiconductor with the rapid development of manufacturing, this new unit will further pursue PM Modi’s self -reliant India’s attitude.”
