Ashwini Vaishnav said that US Finance Minister Scott Besant organized a ministerial meeting focused on strengthening the supply chain of critical minerals. As we all know and especially in India when the manufacturing sector especially electronics manufacturing is growing rapidly then it is very important for all the countries including India to have a strong supply chain of critical minerals.
Discussion regarding funds for new projects
He said that in this meeting, participants from many countries discussed their experiences, steps being taken to strengthen the supply chain, so that high quality critical minerals, especially rare earth minerals, can be secured in a sustainable manner. In this meeting, participants from different countries discussed their experiences and talked about the steps being taken to strengthen the supply chain. Funds for new projects were also discussed in this meeting.

According to the International Energy Agency (IA), China is the leading refiner of most minerals, including copper, lithium, nickel, cobalt, graphite and rare earth elements, with an average market share of about 70 percent.
