UP Board has put the list of proposed examination centers for 10th and 12th examination of 2026 on its website upmsp.edu.in. This time there is a plan to make a total of 7448 schools as examination centres. However, this is not final yet and may change.
How can one express objection?
If anyone has any problem related to the examination center. If the name of any school is wrong or any school is missing, you can raise your objection online till December 4, 2025. After this no complaint will be heard. Meanwhile, the final list will be released on December 30.
Which schools will be made centres?
This time UP Board has proposed 7448 centres. These include 910 government schools, 3484 aided schools and 3054 financed (financed non-government) schools. Let us tell you that last year i.e. 7657 centers were proposed for the board examination of 2025. Of these, 940 were government, 3512 aided and 3205 funded schools. This means that this time 209 centers have been reduced.
Why were the centers reduced?
Now the question arises that why has the number of centers been reduced? The answer is that this time the number of children has also reduced slightly. A total of 52 lakh 30 thousand 297 children are registered in the 2026 examination. Of these, 27 lakh 50 thousand 945 children have registered in class 10th and 24 lakh 79 thousand 352 children have registered in class 12th. At the same time, if we look at the figures of 2025, a total of 54 lakh 38 thousand 597 children had given the exam during that time. At that time, 27 lakh 40 thousand 151 children had appeared in class 10th and 26 lakh 98 thousand 446 children had appeared in class 12th.
When will UP Board exams be held?
UP Board has already told that the high school and intermediate examinations will start from 18 February 2026 and will continue till 12 March 2026. This means that there will be a schedule of about 22-23 days. According to UP Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh, we have tried to ensure that every child gets an examination center in his own district and there is no cheating like problem, hence some weak and remote schools have been removed from the list this time.
