The high school and intermediate examinations of Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council are going to start from 18 February 2026. This time, more than 8 thousand examination centers have been set up across the state and more than 50 lakh students will appear in the examination. Before the examinations, the board has issued rules, security arrangements and necessary guidelines for the students. In such a situation, let us now tell you that the date of UP Board exam has been released, but what is the complete guideline of what to do and what not to do for the students.

Strict rules regarding OMR sheet

Like before, this time also OMR sheets will be used in the high school examination. Out of the question paper of 70 marks, 20 objective questions will have to be solved on OMR sheet. Whereas the remaining questions of 50 marks will have to be solved in writing in the answer book. The board has made arrangements to print the roll number and subject information of the students on the OMR sheet, so that the scope for error is reduced. At the same time, students will have to fill the correct circle with blue or black ball pen only. The copy may get canceled if the OMR sheet is cut, erased or using correction fluid. In such a condition, an orange OMR sheet will be given, in which the student will have to fill all the information himself. At the end of the examination, the OMR sheet and its counter file will be sealed separately, so that no tampering can take place.

What will happen if I forget the admit card?

If a student forgets to bring the admit card in a hurry then he/she can be allowed to appear in the examination permanently. But it will be mandatory to submit the original or duplicate admit card before the next examination. Failure to do so will not allow you to appear in further examinations. Students arriving late can get a relaxation of up to 30 minutes. But the condition will be that there is a valid reason for arriving late, apart from this, 20 minutes extra time will be given to disabled students and seating arrangements will be made for them on the ground floor in multi-storey centres. During the Intermediate Practical Examination, thousands of students could not appear for some reason. In such a situation, the board has announced that after the written examination on March 12, such students will be given another chance. Students absent due to illness or other genuine reason will get a total of two chances.
