Yogi government is going to take a big step by making road transport easier and also paying attention to environmental protection. After serving electric buses for inter-city transport, now the government is focusing on running electric buses instead of diesel buses on long distance routes also. In this series, soon 20 new electric buses will be seen running from two major bus stations of Gorakhpur on many important routes including Ayodhya, Banaras, Sonauli.
How many buses on which route?
UP Roadways has received 20 electric buses in the first phase of eco-friendly transportation for Gorakhpur. Out of these, 6 buses will run for Banaras, out of which 3 will operate through Ghazipur route and 3 through Azamgarh route. 3 buses will be run to Ayodhya, 3 buses to Ballia, 3 buses to Sonauli on Nepal border, 3 buses to Tamkuhiraj and 2 buses to Lar Road. In the initial phase, 9 buses will be operated from Kachari Bus Station and 11 buses will be operated from Gorakhpur Railway Bus Station.
Hi-tech charging station almost ready in Raptinagar
The most important charging station for the operation of electric buses is almost ready in Raptinagar in a hi-tech manner. The remaining work will be completed by the end of this month. Regular operation of electric buses will start as soon as the charging station is operational. Preparations are in the final stages and passengers will soon start getting the benefits of these new e-bus services.
Strong connectivity to all important cities and tourist places of Purvanchal
As per the intention of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the route chart of electric buses has been prepared in such a way that all the important cities and tourist places of Purvanchal can get stronger connectivity. Regional Manager of Transport Corporation, Luv Kumar Singh said that by running electric buses for places like Ayodhya, Banaras and Sonauli, the journey of passengers will be comfortable and pollution free. Apart from this, the transport corporation will also get financial benefit due to saving fuel.
