According to the information, Kamal Chauhan was returning to his home in Sanjay Nagar from his scooty on Sunday evening. Then the bike riders opened fire on them. Eyewitnesses said that the attackers shot two bullets in Kamal Chauhan’s head and chest, after which they escaped from the spot. The injured Kamal was immediately rushed to the hospital, but the doctors declared him dead.
SP City Kumar Ranvijay Singh said that the attackers fired on Kamal Chauhan, who was going on a scooty near Karula in the Katghar police station area. He was rushed to the hospital, but died. A case has been registered against the family’s Tahrir, and police teams have been formed to arrest the accused. Soon the killers will be caught.
Kamal Chauhan’s criminal history
According to the police, Kamal Chauhan was a history sheeter and had deep relations with many notorious criminals from West UP. There were several criminal cases registered against him in various police stations, including recent drug business. He had also gone to jail several times.
The main accused Sunny alias Sonu Diwakar
His friend along with Kamal Chauhan told the police that the murder was done by Sunny alias Sonu Diwakar. Sonu also has a criminal history, and is associated with illegal businesses like drugs, gambling, and speculative. Two days ago, a case of extortion was registered against him at the Katghar police station, and the police was already looking for him, Kamal Chauhan and Sonu Diwakar had a deep enmity in the criminal world.

Accusing the police of negligence, the wife and family of the deceased said that Kamal Chauhan was receiving threats for several days. He had complained to the police, but no action was taken. The family claims that the accused are associated with the BJP and conduct criminal activities on the strength of political influence. The wife of the deceased has warned that if the police do not take action soon, she will commit suicide.

SSP Satpal Anthil has formed three special police teams to arrest Sonu Diwakar and his associates in view of the seriousness of the case. The police have sent the body for postmortem and are investigating on the basis of CCTV footage and statements of eyewitnesses. SP City said that we are investigating from every aspect.
