There is big news for the youth preparing for government jobs in Uttar Pradesh. The wait for UP Lekhpal Recruitment 2025 is now over. Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission has issued recruitment notification for 7,994 posts of Revenue Accountant. Only those candidates who have given the PET 2025 examination will be able to apply for this recruitment.
Online applications for Lekhpal recruitment will start from 29 December 2025, while the last date to apply has been fixed as 28 January 2026. If there is any mistake in the application, amendments can be made till 4 February 2026. The application process will be completely online and for this the candidates will have to visit the official website of the Commission upsssc.gov.in.
Shortlisting will be based on PET 2025 score
The most important condition of UP Lekhpal recruitment is that the candidate must appear in PET 2025. The Commission has made it clear that shortlisting of candidates will be done only on the basis of PET 2025 score. Candidates who have got zero or negative marks in PET will not be shortlisted.
How many posts for which category?
A total of 7,994 posts will be filled under this recruitment. In these, posts have been fixed for different categories. 4,165 posts have been kept for unreserved category, 1,446 posts for Scheduled Caste, 150 posts for Scheduled Tribe, 1,441 posts for Other Backward Class and 792 posts for Economically Weaker Section.
1,592 posts have been earmarked for women candidates, 391 posts for ex-servicemen, 152 posts for outstanding sportspersons and 152 posts for dependents of freedom fighters. Separate posts have also been reserved for disabled category candidates.
What is educational qualification?
For UP Lekhpal recruitment, it is necessary for the candidate to have passed Intermediate (12th). This examination should be passed from UP Board or any recognized board. While applying, it is mandatory for the candidate to have all the necessary educational certificates.
what will be the age limit
For Lekhpal recruitment, the minimum age of the candidate has been fixed at 18 years and maximum age at 40 years. Reserved categories like SC, ST and other eligible categories will be given relaxation in upper age limit as per government rules.
How much application fee will have to be paid
In this recruitment, the application fee has been kept the same for all categories. General, OBC, SC, ST and EWS all candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 25. Fees can be paid through UPI or SBI e-challan.
Selection Process and Exam Pattern
Selection in UP Lekhpal Recruitment will be done on the basis of written examination. A total of 100 questions will be asked in the written examination, which will be of 100 marks. The duration of the examination will be of 2 hours and all questions will be objective. Negative marking will also be applicable in this exam. The Commission will use the normalization formula to prepare the final merit list.
What will be the syllabus of the exam
In the written examination, questions related to Indian history, freedom movement, Indian Constitution, geography, economy, social development, village society and current events will be asked. Apart from this, questions will also come from General Hindi, Computer Knowledge, Data Interpretation, Environment and Disaster Management and general information related to Uttar Pradesh. Topics related to Uttar Pradesh will have special importance in this.
What will be the salary?
Candidates selected for the post of UP Lekhpal will get a salary ranging from Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100. Along with this, benefits of other government allowances will also be given.
