UP Politics: On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) started an active membership campaign from the party headquarters in Lucknow on Monday. On the instructions of the party’s national president Jayant Chaudhary, this campaign will run from 14 April to 15 October across the state. During this time the party will work to connect new members and strengthen the organization.
The program organized in the state office was started by National General Secretary (Organization) Trilok Tyagi by garlanding the pictures of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh and party founder Chaudhary Ajit Singh. After this, he got the party membership to National General Secretary Anil Dubey, National Secretary Anupam Mishra and Vijay Srivastava.
Campaign started on the instructions of Jayant Chaudhary
Trilok Tyagi told in the press conference that the party’s internal organizational election will also be held between October 15 to November 15, 2025. He said that the Rashtriya Lok Dal is an ideology -based party, which runs on the principles of Baba Saheb Dr. Ambedkar, Chaudhary Charan Singh and Sardar Patel. All these leaders are known for becoming the voice of social justice, farmers and underprivileged. The RLD will also struggle for the good of all the sections of the society by following their footprints.
Trilok Tyagi said that the party will not let social harmony and brotherhood deteriorate at any cost. He claimed that the Rashtriya Lok Dal had first opposed the decisions of the administration to offer prayers on the shops in Lucknow and offer prayers on the roads. He also mentioned a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in which he thanked the Prime Minister for giving Bharat Ratna to farmer Messiah Chaudhary Charan Singh. During this time, the Prime Minister also informed about the schemes of the central government for the farmers.
In the program, Trilok Tyagi also submitted a membership of many senior party office bearers like Wasim Haider, Rajinikanth Mishra, Rohit Aggarwal, Ambuj Patel, Mahesh Pal Dhangar, Parineeta Singh, Ramavati Tiwari, Preeti Srivastava, BL Lover, PK Pathak, Raghavendra Singh Yadav, Adhikar Ali, Pramod Shukla, Ashok Tiwari, Satya Prakash Tiwari and Sartaj Malik.
Significantly, the Rashtriya Lok Dal, especially in western Uttar Pradesh, has a strong support party. It has a special identity between farmers, Jat community and rural sections. Party founder Chaudhary Ajit Singh and his father Chaudhary Charan Singh have been the voice of farmers in Indian politics. Now the RLD organization is actively working on issues of expansion and social justice under the leadership of Jayant Chaudhary.
