UP Politics: UP government reached Delhi, will discussion on these issues be finalized after meeting with high command and PM?

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is in Delhi. Here he can meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and National Working President of Bharatiya Janata Party Nitin Nabin. It is believed that some important decisions may be approved by the BJP high command in these meetings. Apart from CM Yogi, UP Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak is also in Delhi. He has also met National Executive President Nitin Nabin.

On the other hand, in the context of CM Yogi’s visit, it is believed that in the high-level meetings of the Chief Minister, the decisions of giving new responsibilities to the leaders in the state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party and cabinet expansion of the Uttar Pradesh government can be approved. Along with this, during the meeting with the Prime Minister, the CM can also give him information about the Magh Mela in Prayagraj. If sources are to be believed, the CM can also discuss development projects with the PM.

Let us tell you which issues can be finalized.

1- Reshuffle in BJP organization

On December 14 last year, UP BJP got the new president in the form of Pankaj Chaudhary. After assuming the responsibility of the post of President, a core group meeting was held in Lucknow in which the expansion from the organization to the government was discussed. After the meeting Chaudhary came to Delhi and held a high level meeting here. It is believed that Chaudhary informed the BJP high command about the discussion held in Lucknow. It was discussed in the core group meeting of BJP in Lucknow that some leaders can be given responsibility from the organization to the government and some from the government to the organization.

2-Whose entry in the government?

It is believed that during the meeting of CM Yogi and BJP high command in Delhi, there can be a discussion on who should be included in the cabinet during the expansion of the government. Only last year it was reported that the Yogi government wants to fit the caste equation of the cabinet before going to the proposed assembly elections in 2027. In such a situation, many faces including Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, former UP BJP Chief Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh can be included in the government. There is talk that Defense Minister Rajnath Singh’s son Pankaj Singh can also be included in the Yogi cabinet. Along with this, there is also talk of including one MLA or leader in the cabinet from the quota of allies in the state government – Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, Nishad Party, Rashtriya Lok Dal.

3- What is the decision on SP rebels?

If sources are to be believed, cabinet expansion and reshuffle in the organization can happen any time after Makar Sankranti. In such a situation, there is talk that BJP can give entry to any of the Samajwadi Party rebels – Pooja Pal, Abhay Singh, Rakesh Singh, Manoj Pandey in the government. During the winter session of the UP Legislature in December last year, CM Yogi himself made a political attack on SP in the Assembly by mentioning Pooja Pal. According to experts familiar with the political developments in UP, on the one hand BJP will fit the caste equation by giving entry to SP rebels in its government, on the other hand it will also try to give a message to the public that BJP is with those who were treated unfairly by SP.

4-SIR also discussed?

CM Yogi is in Delhi at a time when, as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, the State Election Commission is carrying out a thorough revision of the voter list and finalizing the draft roll. Recently, the State Election Commission said that after the SIR in UP, the draft roll of UP will be released on January 6. After this list, objections can be filed till 6th February. It is believed that SIR can also be discussed between CM Yogi and the high command. It is noteworthy that amid the ongoing SIR in UP, CM Yogi had made it clear in a meeting of the organization that the tickets of the MLAs in whose areas the SIR process has not been done properly are in danger in the elections proposed in the year 2027.
