An important update has come out for the candidates waiting for the recruitment of headmaster and assistant teacher in government aided junior high schools of Uttar Pradesh. The online application dates fixed earlier have been changed due to technical difficulties. Due to server related constraints, the application portal could not function properly on time, due to which the department had to revise the application time table. Now candidates will be able to complete their application process as per the new dates, so that all the candidates will get adequate time and facility. This change is a relief news for lakhs of youth who were waiting for the start of this recruitment process for the last several months.
Why were the application dates changed?
The revised result of Junior High School Headmaster and Assistant Teacher Selection Examination 2021 was released on 6 September 2022. Based on these results, online applications for selection and appointment were to be made from 15 November to 5 December 2025. But due to recurring technical problems in the server, the application process had to be stopped midway. This is why the Secondary Education Department has decided to extend the date of application.
How many posts will be recruited?
A total of 1262 posts are vacant for direct recruitment in non-government aided secondary schools of the state. These include 240 posts of Hindi, 145 posts of English, 99 posts of Sanskrit, 455 posts of Science and Maths, 314 posts of social subjects. Including all these subjects, the recruitment process will be conducted on a total of 1262 posts. This recruitment will play an important role in filling the long-running staff shortage in aided schools across the state.
Details of posts falling vacant by 2026 were also sought.
The Secondary Education Department has also asked all the districts of the state to send information about the possible posts falling vacant by March 31, 2026, as soon as possible. With this, accurate requisition can be prepared for future recruitments and the appointment process can be completed on time.
Director of Secondary Education Dr. Mahendra Dev has directed that it is very important to make available the correct and complete information on time about the vacant posts which are to be sent to the Selection Commission. He also said that it is necessary to send the certificate of inclusion of all the direct recruitment posts in the requisition within two days. This will maintain transparency and discipline in the recruitment process.
