UP Weather News: The weather hit in Uttar Pradesh has once again proved fatal. In the last 24 hours, at least 25 people have died in many districts of the state due to thunderstorms, rains and celestial lightning incidents, while dozens of people are said to be injured.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed deep condolences on this natural disaster and has given instructions to the officials to provide all possible help to the victim families. He has asked the administration of all the districts to run immediate relief and rescue operations. The CM has asked the officials to visit the affected areas and assess the situation and there should be no good in relief work.
According to the Relief Commissioner’s Office, Kanpur Dehat, Jhansi, Jalaun, Hardoi, Sambhal, Kushinagar, Shahjahanpur and Lucknow have lost one each in Prayagraj, two each in Lalitpur and Gorakhpur, two each in Bareilly and Bijnor and four in Jaunpur and four people in Jaunpur have lost their lives due to blind rains and celestial lightning.

Here, the Meteorological Department has also issued a warning. According to the department, there is a possibility of strong thunderstorms, lightning and rain in the western and central parts of Uttar Pradesh for the next few days. Yellow alert has been issued in districts like Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Baghpat, Hapur, Noida, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Kasganj, Etah, Agra, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Bijnor, Amroha, Rampur and Bareilly.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has also given instructions that if the crop is damaged in some place, it should be surveyed as soon as possible and the report should be sent to the government so that the affected farmers can get compensation. He said that immediate drainage should be arranged in case of waterlogging, so that people do not face problems.
Let us know that every year between summer and rain, there are incidents of thunderstorms and celestial lightning in many parts of North India in May-June. Meteorologists say that such incidents are continuously increasing due to climate change and imbalance in the environment.
