Severe cold and fog continue to wreak havoc in Uttar Pradesh. Heavy fog was seen even on New Year, whereas in some parts of Western Uttar Pradesh it remained cloudy and it became difficult to see the sun. According to the Meteorological Department, people will get slight relief from cold in the next two days but after this the cold will increase again.

The Meteorological Department has predicted dry weather in most parts of the state today also on January 2. However, dense fog is going to continue in the western and eastern divisions. There will be dense fog in the morning and evening in 34 districts of the state. Zero meter visibility is expected at some places.

Fog warning in these districts

There will be some relief from the cold due to sunshine during the day on Friday. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of dense fog in Noida, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Hapur, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Baghpat, Bijnor, Moradabad, Meerut, Rampur, Sambhal, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Agra, Firozabad, Etawah on Friday.

Apart from this, warning of dense fog has been given in Jalaun, Jhansi, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Banda, Chitrakoot, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bahraich, Shravasti, Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Maharajganj and Kushinagar and surrounding areas today. Fog has been predicted in the state in the coming days as well, due to which there seems to be no relief at present.

Mercury will rise in the next two days

Barabanki state has been the coldest district in the last 24 hours. The minimum temperature here was recorded at 3.0 degrees Celsius, which was 5.2 degrees below normal and was the coldest day of the season. Whereas Gorakhpur, Hardoi, Ayodhya. Sultanpur, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur have been the coldest districts. The minimum temperature here has been between 3-5 degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Department has predicted that in the next two days, the maximum temperature of the state will rise by 2-4 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature will also rise, after which the cold will increase once again and the minimum temperature will fall by 2-4 degrees.
