Big news has come out regarding the National Defense Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) examinations, which are among the top examinations of the country. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially released the date of NDA and NA-I, 2026 examination. Candidates who have applied for this exam can now finalize their preparations, as the exam will be conducted on Sunday, April 12, 2026.
According to the information released by UPSC, NDA and NA-I exam will be held in two shifts. The complete time table of the examination is available on the official website of the Commission, upsc.gov.in, which candidates can view and download online.
Exam will be held in two shifts
UPSC NDA and NA-I, 2026 examination will be conducted for two different subjects on the same day. Mathematics test will be taken in the first shift, while general aptitude test will be taken in the second shift.
The examination for Mathematics subject will be conducted from 10 am to 12:30 noon. After this, the General Aptitude Test exam will be held in the second shift from 2 pm to 4:30 pm. Both the examinations will be objective type.
When will the admit cards be released?
UPSC has also clarified that the admit cards for NDA and NA-I exam 2026 will be released a few days before the exam. Candidates will be able to download their admit card only from the official website. Admit cards will not be sent by the Commission by post, therefore candidates have been advised to keep a regular eye on the website.
Recruitment will be done on total 394 posts
Through this recruitment process, candidates will be selected for a total of 394 posts in the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. The special thing is that seats have also been reserved for women candidates in these posts, due to which the participation of women in the defense sector is continuously increasing.
Complete details of NDA and NA vacancies
According to the data released by UPSC, a total of 208 posts have been kept for the Indian Army, out of which 10 posts are for women. 42 posts have been earmarked for the Indian Navy, which includes 5 women posts. There are 92 posts for the flying branch of the Air Force, out of which 2 posts are reserved for women. 18 posts for Ground Duty (Technical) of Air Force, out of which 2 are women posts. At the same time, there are 10 posts for ground duty (non-technical), which includes 2 women posts. Apart from this, 24 posts have been kept under Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme), out of which 3 posts are earmarked for women.
