There is a relief news for the candidates going to appear in UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2025. On the day of this examination to be held on May 25, 2025, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has made special arrangements for the convenience of those who take the exam. Metro services will be started one hour before normal time on selected routes so that candidates can reach their examination centers on time.
Services will start first on these metro lines
According to DMRC, metro services will start from 6 am on Sunday at the Pink Line (Line-7), Magenta Line (Line-8) and Gray Line (Line-9). Usually these services start at 7 am on Sunday, but in view of the examination, the timing has been changed. The metro will leave from terminal stations like Majlis Park, Shiv Vihar, Majlis Park-Shiv Vihar and Majpur-Babarpur on Pink Line.
Trains from Janakpuri West and Botanical Garden on Magenta Line will also run from 6 am, while the metro service from Krishna Park Extension will start a little more first, that is, 5:50 am. Metro services from both the Dhansa bus stand and Dwarka Terminal stations on the gray line will also be operational from 6 am.
Metro will run on the rest of the routes at normal time
DMRC has also clarified that all other metro lines will be operated according to Sunday regular schedule. That is, no changes have been made there.
Special step for candidates
DMRC Principal Executive Director Anuj Dayal said that this decision has been taken for the convenience of thousands of candidates who are going to appear in the UPSC examination on Sunday. This will make it easier for the candidates to reach the examination center in time and they will be able to take the exam without any run.
