UPSC Success Story: Mother’s dream became the purpose of life, Ankita achieved success in UPSC by turning sorrow into strength.


The story of Ankita Chaudhary, resident of Meham, a small town in Rohtak district of Haryana, is not just that of a UPSC topper, but of a daughter who refused to give up even at the most difficult juncture of life. This is the story of a girl who fought with tears as well as courage to fulfill her mother’s dream.

Ankita did her graduation in Chemistry from Hindu College, Delhi University. Ankita, who always topped in studies, had a dream to serve the country by becoming an IAS officer. After graduation, he started preparing for UPSC exam wholeheartedly. But in the year 2017, when she was giving her first attempt, her life took such a painful turn that she had not even imagined.

Not only was he sad to fail in the UPSC exam, his mother passed away in the same year. In Ankita’s words, mother was the biggest strength in my life, after her departure everything started feeling empty. But when the mountains of sorrow broke, his father did not let them break. He said, son, mother’s dream will be fulfilled by your hands and perhaps this one sentence became the turning point of Ankita’s life.

Success story created in second attempt

Keeping her mother’s memory and father’s trust in her heart, Ankita took the exam again in 2018. This time not only did he clear UPSC but also secured All India 14th rank. His optional subject was Public Administration. This success of Ankita was not only a personal victory, but also a ray of hope for all those youth who are broken by failure. He had said that failure is not a fear, it teaches a lesson. And when you learn the lesson, success will automatically come to you.

New identity as IAS officer

Today Ankita Chaudhary is a respected IAS officer. With a government house, car, driver and other facilities, he has now got the life he had struggled for. But the real satisfaction for Ankita is that now she can bring change in people’s lives. She says mother had always said that daughter, do such work that people will bless you. That’s just what I try to do.

Also active on social media

Ankita is also active on social media. She communicates with students through X and Instagram, shares her preparation stories and inspires the youth who are walking the tough path of UPSC. She often writes, never give up, because success tests your patience.
