The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) inaugurated the centenary year on completion of its glorious 100 years. On this historic occasion, Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Ajay Kumar not only released a new logo, but also organized a live virtual town hall for the first time with civil service candidates. The Commission celebrated this special day with a new passion and energy and showed many new initiatives for the coming time.

The new logo reflects the basic spirit of the Commission and its responsibilities. The national symbol is placed at the center of the people, which represents the service, duty and rights of the nation. A garland of banyan leaves has been made around it, which is a symbol of knowledge, patience and longevity. Below the logo is a ‘public service’ on a strip, which shows the duty of the Commission and dedication to the nation.

A glimpse of special centenary people

Along with the new logo, the Commission has also introduced a special centenary logo. It shows the wave shape shape, which shows the commission’s progressiveness, firmness and ability to change over time. This logo includes the symbol of UPSC within the last ‘0’ of the ‘100’ digit. This is not only a celebration of a hundred -year journey, but also reminds how important the UPSC has contributed to strengthening India’s administrative system.

New initiative for civil servants – My UPSC Interview

The Commission has started a new initiative to make the centenary year more special. The name of this initiative is – “My UPSC Interview: From Dream to Reality”. Current and former civil servants have been invited through this portal (innovateindia.mygov.in/upsc/) to share experiences related to their UPSC interview.

This initiative will continue till 31 December 2025 and the selected experiences will be collected and published during the centenary year 2026. This will inspire new candidates and they will also get a better understanding of the interview process.
