If you have passed 12th and are looking for a job, then there is a great news for you. Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation has recruited thousands of conductor posts for women. The special thing is that there will be no written examination and the selection will be done directly on the basis of merit.
What are the total posts?
A total of 2,584 conductor posts will be filled under this recruitment drive. The aim of the government is to provide employment opportunities to as many women as possible and make them economically strong. This recruitment has been kept especially for women so that they can easily get a job and stand on their own feet.
What qualification is required?
Female candidates applying for this job must have at least 12th pass. Along with this, it is mandatory for the candidate to have CCC certificate. Apart from this, another important condition is that the candidate should be associated in some way or the other with Uttar Pradesh National Rural Livelihood Mission or Skill Development Mission.

How will the selection be done?
The most special thing about this recruitment is that there will be no written examination. The selection will be done entirely on the basis of merit list, which will be prepared according to the marks of 12th. This means that candidates who have more marks in Intermediate will have more chances of selection. This relieves the candidates from the stress of preparation. If a candidate has NCC ‘B’ Certificate, NSS Certificate or State or National level award in Bharat Scouts and Guides, he/she will be given 5% additional weightage in the merit. This will give such candidates an edge in selection and their chances of selection will become stronger.
What will be the salary?
Selected candidates in this job will be paid at the rate of Rs 2.16 per kilometer. If a candidate completes 5,000 kilometers of duty by working 22 days in a month, he will also get an additional incentive of Rs 3,000. Apart from this, employees will also be given facilities like EPF free travel pass and night duty allowance.
How will the recruitment process be?
To make recruitment easier, employment fairs will be organized by the department. These fairs will be organized between March 25 and April 1. Candidates can directly participate in it by going to cities like Lucknow, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Jhansi, Gorakhpur and Saharanpur.
Special facility for women
Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh said that special care has been taken for the convenience of women in this recruitment. Selected candidates will be given posting in their home district or nearby depot only, so that they can do the job comfortably while staying with their families. This facility will prove to be very beneficial for women.
