The anger of the candidates is coming to the fore across the state regarding the recently conducted examination of Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC). Hundreds of candidates reached the Chief Minister’s residence in Lucknow with their displeasure and demands. These candidates allege that out of syllabus questions were asked in the UPSSSC examination, due to which their hard work was wasted.
Candidates say that they were preparing for this examination for the last two years. According to the syllabus issued by the Commission, he bought books, took coaching and worked hard day and night. But when the examination took place, many such questions came up which had nothing to do with the syllabus. According to the candidates, these questions were added to the question paper without any prior information or notice, which is completely wrong.
The candidates who reached Lucknow included youth from different districts of the state. Some traveled from Agra, while others came from cities like Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Varanasi and Meerut. Everyone had only one demand that the questions asked out of syllabus should be canceled and there should be no injustice to the future of the candidates.
What did the candidates say?
While talking to the media, the candidates said that if the Commission had to make any changes in the syllabus, then this information should have been given earlier. Suddenly asking new types of questions in the examination is not only against the rules, but is also an insult to the hard work of lakhs of youth. Many candidates said that they are under mental stress after the examination and are afraid that their years of preparation might go in vain.
Appeal to CM
The youth who reached the Chief Minister’s court appealed to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to intervene directly. He says that the Chief Minister has always taken decisions in the interest of the youth and he hopes that justice will be given in this case also. The candidates said that they do not want any kind of uproar, but want to convey their views to the government in a peaceful manner.
During the demonstration, some candidates also met officials of the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. It was told that a delegation of candidates presented their views to the Chief Minister Secretary. On behalf of the Secretary, it was said that the entire matter will be looked into and a week’s time has been sought for this. However, the candidates say that they have not been given any written assurance till now, which has further increased their concerns.
