Big news has come for lakhs of youth dreaming of becoming teachers in Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has released important information regarding Teacher Eligibility Test i.e. UPTET 2026. After a long wait, now the complete schedule of the examination has come out, which has awakened a new hope among the candidates.
The Commission has released the advertisement of the examination on its official website on 20 March 2026. This examination will be held at two levels, primary level (classes 1 to 5) and upper primary level (classes 6 to 8). That means, this is an important step for any candidate who wants to become a teacher.
According to the Commission, the process of online registration and application will start from March 27, 2026. After this, candidates will be able to fill their form within the stipulated time. The last date for applying and depositing fees has been kept as 26 April 2026. If any candidate makes any mistake while filling the form, he will also be given a chance to correct it. The last date for amendment in the application and the process related to the bank has been fixed as May 1, 2026.
What’s new this time?
This time a major change has been made in the application process. The Commission has implemented One Time Registration i.e. OTR system. This means that candidates will have to first register themselves once. Only after completing OTR they will be able to apply for UPTET. With this, an attempt has been made to make the process easy and transparent.

Exam will be held in July
The most important thing is that UPTET 2026 exam will be conducted in the month of July. The Commission has made it clear that the examination will be conducted on 2, 3 and 4 July 2026. In such a situation, candidates have limited time for preparation, hence it is important to start working from now.
