Us company jabil focuses on increase the production of apple airpods casings in India

Apple: Veteran company, which supplies electronic components to Apple, is planning to increase the production of airpods using its second factory in India. According to the report, the decision has been taken amid reports of Trump’s tariff policy and the shifting of Apple’s supplier base from China between the trade war between the US and China.

According to information received from sources, Jequel currently makes plastic body or casting for airpods in its Pune factory. Now the company is considering using the Tiruchirappalli (Trichy) factory in Tamil Nadu to increase the production of the body of Airpods. The company can inform the state government about its final plan by the end of June or July.

Strong base of manufacturing in India

According to the ET report, a person who has been aware of the case said that officials of this American company had met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin in Chennai. After this, everyone visited Trichy, where construction is yet to be done to start production.

Another person said, just like other suppliers of Jill Apple, they are trying to strengthen their manufacturing in India. Surely, the company must seem to give profit for Apple in India to increase its production capacity.

Production of components for airpods is a new category for India. Its importance is expected to increase further in the coming time and companies like Jequel want to go a step ahead in this direction.

The news of Jail’s plan to increase its production in India is coming out after reports that the production of Apple Airpods for export in Foxconn’s Hyderabad unit has also started.
