US Cancels 2,000 Indian Visas: The US Donald Trump administration took another major step against India. The United States embassy in India canceled 2,000 visa appointments. The American embassy has cited fraud activities behind this.
The US embassy said on Wednesday (March 26), “The embassy has found the wrong people or bots in the appointment system and suspended their account.”

The US embassy shared a post on the social media platform X. In this post, the US embassy said, “The embassy team in India has canceled around 2000 appointments made by Bots. We have a policy of zero tolerance against agents and fixers who violate our scheduling policy.”
Apart from this, the embassy wrote in its post, “We are canceling all the appointments with immediate effect and also suspend all the special rights of scheduling of all the accounts related to them. We will continue our efforts against fraud. We adopt a policy of zero tolerance against fraudsters.”
Us India decided to take a visa appointment in Bangkok and Frankfurt
It is noteworthy that in the last several years, a wide backlog has been seen in the release of US B1 and B2 visas, which is given for business and tourist travel. At the same time, in the year 2022-23, this deadline was from 800 to 1,000 days, in view of which the US decided to start Visa appointments in Frankfurt and Bangkok for Indian applicants.
Indian Foreign Minister had expressed concern about delay in issuing visas
In the year 2022, India’s Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar had expressed concern over the delay in issuing visas from the then US Secretary of State Antony Blinkan.
