Planning Minister in Pakistan Government, Ahsan Iqbal started reciting the ballads of Shehbaz Sharif in the Parliament. He said, ‘Pakistan being on center stage with its Muslim brother countries in contributing to peace in Gaza and Palestine is a diplomatic victory.’ During this, while referring to Pakistan’s nuclear test in 1998, he said that at that time the world had done a lot to us.

According to the report of Pakistani newspaper Dawn, Ahsan Iqbal started his speech by mentioning the nuclear tests conducted by Pakistan in 1998. He said, ‘We set an example of Pakistan’s independence and sovereignty when the then US President called five times. At this time, there was pressure on Pakistan from all over the world, but we showed courage and conducted the nuclear test.

There is no threat to Pakistan while we are there: Ahsan Iqbal

On opposition party’s protest, he said, ‘There is no need to teach us about the defense and integrity of Pakistan. We are the protectors of Pakistan’s independence and sovereignty. He stressed that there can be no threat to the integrity and sovereignty of Pakistan with PML-N (Shahbaz Sharif’s party) in power.

He said, ‘Muslim countries have taken an initiative to stop the bloodshed in Palestine. The opposition is refusing to accept peace for the people of Palestine. If the government had decided not to join the peace board, opposition members would have alleged that Pakistan was not given any importance, it was isolated.
