US President Donald Trump has once again claimed that he had a ceasefire between India and Pakistan. Wearing a hat written “Right About Everything” at the Oval Office of the White House, Trump said that he had stopped a possible nuclear war between India and Pakistan. Trump insisted in his statement that the situation had become extremely dangerous at that time and both countries were moving towards a big nuclear conflict, but his intervention took over the situation.
India has rejected Trump every time
India has repeatedly rejected Trump’s claim. New Delhi says that the ceasefire was decided not by the mediation of a third country, but a direct conversation between the DGMOs of India and Pakistan, the Director Generals of Military Operations. India also clarified that Pakistan had to agree on the ceasefire only after suffering heavy losses in Operation Sindoor. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in Parliament that the decision to stop the operation vermilion was completely from India and no foreign leader had any role in it.
Trump is making the same claim again and again
On May 10, Trump wrote on social media for the first time that Washington had a “complete and immediate” ceasefire between India and Pakistan. He claimed that a long conversation went on for this. Since then, Trump has so far reiterated more than 40 times that he has reduced tension between the two countries and prevented the nuclear war.
New statement on Ukraine War
Along with repeating his claims about India and Pakistan, Trump also made a statement about the Ukraine War. He said that he is a very big and important decision making in the next two weeks. According to him, this decision may be to impose heavy ban on Russia or to put a large scale tariff on Russia. Trump even said that it is also possible that America should completely distance away from it and clearly say that it is not ours but a battle of Ukraine.
Emphasis on Putin-Jalensky meeting
Trump further said that he wanted to hold a face-to-face meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukraine President Volodimir Jailnsky. He said that it is necessary for the two leaders to sit together to end the war. Trump said, “Two people are needed for tango dance, if both do not meet, then what will be the meaning of my effort.”
Trump’s big claim
Trump also claimed during this time that he has ended seven wars till now and played a role in stopping three such wars which were about to begin. He said that he has played a role in solving ten wars in total. However, he did not clarify which wars are talking about.
