Trump on Shooting at FSU: Two people were killed and at least five people were injured in a shootout at Florida State University on Thursday. Those killed were not students. Now President Donald Trump’s statement has come out on this incident. In the press conference, when Trump was asked questions about the gun law, he said, “Guns do not shoot themselves but people run.”

Signing on other government orders from the oval office, Trump said, “Look, I have been a supporter of America’s second amendment (right to keep guns) from the beginning. I have always supported it. These incidents are very sad, but do not shoot guns, people run.”

Earlier, when Trump was going to meet Italy’s Prime Minister Georgia Meloni, he described the FSU firing as “shameful”. However, he also made it clear that he is not in favor of any change in US gun laws. He further said, “As far as new laws are concerned, this issue has been going on for a long time. My job is to protect another amendment. I have worked on it before and I will always work to keep it safe.”

The suspect was taken into custody

Officials said that the gun used in this attack was that of 20 -year -old suspected Phoenix Ikner’s mother. His mother Sheriff has been working in the office for a long time. This gun was his old government service gun. Phoenix, who is considered a nominated student in the university, was shot and injured by the police and then taken into custody.

Michael Laler, professor of criminal justice at New Heaven University, Connecticut, said, “There is a fear that anything can happen at any time and whenever this happens, this fear becomes even stronger.”
