The federal funding bill will provide financial support to most government agencies through January 30. This bill will provide full funding for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNP) for the remainder of the fiscal year. This will fully fund child nutrition programs, including free and reduced-cost school meals.
Earlier, during the shutdown, the Trump government had stopped half the amount of food provided to the poor living in America. However, the lower court had removed this ban and ordered immediate release of funds, after which the government moved towards the Supreme Court.
