God has given every person the freedom to choose his own path.” Hearing his answer, the atmosphere calmed down a bit, but the video clip went viral on social media. Thousands of Indian-American users praised the courage of the student and said that she spoke as the voice of every migrant.
Growing concern among Indian students and professionals
This incident has happened at a time when America’s migration policies are becoming increasingly strict. Many Indian students are troubled by the new conditions of H-1B and OPT visas.
