Super antibody for snakebite: American scientists have prepared a new snake antivenim drug using the blood of a person, who deliberately drank or applied different types of poison in his body in 18 years, so that resistance to the snake bite can develop. The researcher found that the person’s blood-found ‘super antibodies’ saved the damage caused by the neurotoxin present in the poison of 19 different species of snakes, including Mamba and Cobra.

This new research can find new avenues. Most of the current techniques are more than a century old and injecting poison in horses and animals, antibodies are collected from their blood. Nevertheless, the new treatment is only a part of the challenge of snake bite to deal with that global problem, due to which thousands of people die every year.

How was this new drug created?

Tim Frid calls himself a “poison expert”. He deliberately took poison of poison of many snakes in his body in a period of 18 years so that immunity can develop. This is a risky practice that we do not recommend. All this has also been very risky for friday.

Scientists took a small sample of friday blood and separated the developed antibody of its immune system to eliminate the effect of poison. How is it usually made anti -poison?

Anti -poison is currently the only specific treatment available for snake bites. Usually, the first poison is collected and anti-poison is prepared, then antibodies are developed by giving regular injections of a small but slowly increased dose of that poison to a pet (such as horse). Horse blood is extracted and its antibodies are processed. Then the person suffering from snake bite is injected with antibodies, where he prevents poison from affecting.

Traditional anti -poisons have their own problems. These can cause a serious allergic reaction. Their effectiveness can also be limited due to differences in poison structure in snakes of different regions, or in different stages of snake life. The ‘broad-spectrum’ or ‘polyvelling’ is made by injection of poison mixture of various species of snakes. However, increased amounts of antibodies per dose can increase the risk of adverse reactions.

Another challenge with mixed poisons is that some poison that produce strong immune response can affect the production of antibodies against other equally dangerous poisons.
