RO water purifiers have been installed in almost every house for the purpose of clean drinking water. It is claimed that these purifiers remove bacteria, viruses, heavy metals and other dirt, which makes it safe to drink water. However, many research has mentioned the dangers of more use of RO water. Let us know which diseases are increased by drinking more RO water? & Nbsp;

RO how water is cleaned?

RO i.e. reverse osmosis is a technique in which water is lived by adding pressure through a semi-permeable membrane. This membrane removes bacteria, viruses, heavy metals such as arsenic, lead and other dirt from water. However, 92-99% of the required minerals like calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium are also removed from water in the process. This is the reason that the level of TDS in the water received from RO reduces considerably, which sometimes goes below 50 mg/l. According to WHO, the minimum level of TDS in drinking water should be 100 mg/l, so that the necessary minerals can be found.

RO benefits from RO’s water

There are many arguments in favor of clean water from RO. Dr. Ramesh Sharma, General Physician of Delhi, says that RO technology is effective in removing harmful pollutants from water like lead, arsenic and chlorine. In a country like India, there is heavy metals and microbial pollution common in ground water. In such a situation, RO water can prevent many diseases caused by water such as diarrhea, cholera and typhoid. At the same time, the taste of RO water is better, because it removes smel and dirt. & Nbsp;

RO potential loss of water

There is no dispute over the purity of RO water, but many research mentions the dangers caused by its excessive use. WHO said in 2019 that drinking water which does not contain minerals, can be harmful for health. This can cause many diseases.

Mineral Deficiency: RO water removes essential minerals like calcium and magnesium, which are essential for bones, heart and muscles. Dr. Priya Verma, a new neutritionist expert from Delhi, says that we get mostly nutrients, but the minerals present in the water are also necessary. Drinking RO water continuously can increase the risk of bones fractures in children, premature delivery in pregnant women and heart disease in the elderly. & Nbsp;

heart disease threat: Many studies have found connections between low TDS water and heart disease. Actually, lack of magnesium can cause high blood pressure and heartbeat being irregular. & Nbsp;

weak bones: calcium deficiency can affect bones. It has been revealed in a study that the risk of bone fractures may be high in children who drink RO water. At the same time, slightly acidic nature of RO water (pH 6.0-6.5) can affect the digestive system. Some people complain of acid reflux after drinking RO water. & Nbsp;
