Delhi airport user fee: The Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) of Aviation Sector-GMR Airports has received regulator approval to increase the user development fee (UDF) for Delhi Airport. Explain that UDF is a fee charged from passengers, which is used for the development and maintenance of the airport. Its price is added to the ticket itself.
Delhi Airport on the path of becoming better
The UDF is for both domestic and international travelers. Airline companies recover it from passengers with tickets and give it to the airport operator, which is used to make the airport equipped with more facilities and to give passengers more better experience.
Regarding the increase in UDF, GMR has said that the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India (AERA) has approved the variable tariff plan for Delhi Airport. Apart from this, aeronaotic tariffs will also be increased. The new order is going to be implemented from 16 April.
No change in UDF rates on domestic flights
According to AERA, domestic passengers in Delhi Airport have 80 percent of the total passengers. In such a situation, the UDF for domestic passengers has been retained at 129 in the fourth control period which is till March 31, 2029. 129 UDFs are charged from domestic passengers while going from Delhi Airport, while it is Rs 56 on Arrival.
Taking international flights will now be expensive
Now if we talk about those taking international flights, then they will have to pay more users fee than before. This fee will be based on travel class. For example, those traveling from economy class will now have to pay Rs 650 at the time of departure and Rs 275 at the time of Arrival.
At the same time, those traveling from business class will have to pay Rs 810 at the time of departure and Rs 345 UDF on Arrival. Not only this, the landing charge at Delhi Airport has also been changed. Now fees will be charged according to the size of the aircraft.
Let us know that Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) had earlier proposed to increase the fees by 730 percent, but AERA approved only 140 percent fees.
