Bihar Police has a great news for the youth dreaming of becoming a inspector. Bihar Police Under Services Commission (BPSSC) has released advertisement for recruitment of 1799 posts of Police Under Inspector (SI). Appointment to these posts will be on the basis of competitive examination and selected candidates will get level-6 pay scale. This opportunity is special for all those youth who want to make a career in the police department.
According to the Home Department (Reserve Branch), only one online application will be accepted for this recruitment. Male, female and third gender all candidates can apply in this examination. The application process will start from 26 September 2025 and run till 26 October 2025. Candidates will have to apply by visiting the official website bpssc.bihar.gov.in. To apply, the candidate must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or a state government recognized equivalent degree.
What will be the age limit?
- General (male): minimum 20 years, maximum 37 years
- General (woman): minimum 20 years, maximum 40 years
- Backward Classes and Extreme Backward Classes (Male/Female): Minimum 20 years, maximum 40 years
- Scheduled Castes/Tribes (Male/Female): Minimum 20 years, maximum 42 years
Application fee will have to be paid so much
Candidates will have to pay the application fee for recruitment. Male, female and third gender candidates of all classes will have to pay Rs 100 in the form of application fee. Payment will be made through online only.
Selection process
The selection will be completely based on the written examination. Eligible candidates will be selected for the main examination on the basis of preliminary examination. The number of candidates in the main examination will be kept up to 20 times the vacancies. That is, a large number of candidates will get a chance. After this, there will be processes like physical efficiency test and document verification.

how to apply?
- First of all go to the official website of BPSSC BPssc.bihar.gov.in.
- Go to Bihar Police tab there and click on Advt No-05/2025.
- For registration, you should have an active mobile number and email ID.
- After registration, fill your name, date of birth and other information in the same way as it is recorded in your certificates.
- Now login and enter details.
- Then the candidate submit the application fee.
- Check the form well once.
- Finally, take out the print out of the form and keep the sev.
