The matches of Ranji Trophy 2025-26 season have started from today. The first day was difficult for the batsmen of most of the teams, but Ishan Kishan scored a century, Devdutt Padikkal missed the century by just 4 runs. Karun Nair, who failed on the England tour, played an innings of 73 runs. Meanwhile, everyone’s eyes were also on 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who was made the vice-captain of the Bihar team before the start of the season. He was out in the first match of the season after scoring only 14 runs.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi flopped
Bihar bowlers had bowled out Arunachal Pradesh’s first innings at a score of just 105 runs. Shakib Hussain took 6 wickets for Bihar. Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Arnav Kishore came to open for Bihar. Vaibhav swung the bat in the beginning as if he was playing a T20 match. He had scored 14 runs in just 4 balls, but was clean bowled by Nia.
Suryavanshi may have been out early, but Bihar has reached a strong position. Arnav Kishore scored 52 runs, while Ayush Loharuka is playing with 155 runs, on the other hand, captain Sakibul Ghani returned unbeaten after scoring 56 runs. Till stumps on the first day, Bihar has scored 283 runs at the loss of 2 wickets and its total lead has become 178 runs.
Ishan Kishan’s century
Jharkhand showed strength in batting in the match against Tamil Nadu. Jharkhand team has scored 307 runs after losing 6 wickets on the first day. His team had lost 6 wickets for 157 runs, but Kishan, playing the captaincy innings, scored 125 runs and he is still at the crease.
Mohammed Shami is also playing for Bengal, who took 3 wickets for 37 runs in 14.5 overs in the match against Uttarakhand. Let us tell you that Shami has been out of Team India since Champions Trophy 2025.
