Vande Bharat Express equipped with modern facilities
Vande Bharat trains are known for their modern facilities and high speeds. On 15 February 2019, the first Vande India train started between New Delhi to Varanasi. Since then, this train is serving in different parts of the country. Vande Bharat Express is the most modern and semi-high speed train in India, which is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. It is part of the ‘Make in India’ initiative and is produced by the Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai. Vande Bharat Express is equipped with modern facilities. It has comfortable AC chair cars and executive seats (180 degrees rotating). Automatic sliding doors, free Wi-Fi and touch screen infotainment systems make the journey entertaining. Luxury toilets, high quality food, CCTV, fire alarm, ‘armor’ technology and wireless charging ports increase security and convenience.
Where did not reach India?
Vande India’s network is growing rapidly, yet there are many areas and states of India where this train has not yet reached. Some states of Northeast have not yet started the services of Vande Bharat train in North Eastern states like Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Sikkim and Mizoram. Limited availability and geographical challenges of railway tracks in these states may be the reason for this. However, Vande India is running on the Guwahati-New Jalpaiguri route in Assam, but it is yet to be expanded to other northeastern states.
