A surprising case has come to light from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, where a viral video of some Muslim youth having Iftar while sitting in a boat has created controversy. As soon as the video of Iftar went viral, the police took cognizance of the matter. The police took immediate action and arrested all the 14 accused seen in the video.
In this case, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha activist Metropolitan President Rajat Jaiswal had given a written complaint to the police. The police have taken action on the basis of the complaint. Kotwali police station of Varanasi has registered a case against 14 people. The metropolitan president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha had demanded the arrest of the accused as soon as possible, after which the police has shown strictness.
Iftar video went viral on social media
After Iftar, the accused made a video of it, which was posted on social media. After the video went viral, the BJP leader lodged a complaint with the police against some unknown people. Based on the complaint, the police started investigating the video.
Had Iftar sitting in a boat
It is being told that all these 14 accused had Iftar while sitting in a boat inside the Ganga. It is alleged that after eating chicken biryani, its bones were thrown into the Ganga. All these accused are accused of desecrating the holy Ganga. Also, throwing chicken bones in the Ganga has been seen as an insult to the sentiments of Hindus.
Case registered under several sections
Police have registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of BNS. A case has also been registered under Section 295A and others and Water Pollution Prevention Act for deliberately hurting religious sentiments.
What did the complainant say on the matter?
The complainant says that the followers of Sanatan Dharma have faith in Mother Ganga. People come from all over the world to seek blessings and worship Mother Ganga. At the same time, throwing meat in their lap by some people is a deliberate attempt to hurt sentiments. After this incident, anger has spread among all Hindu organizations.
