Ayushman Vaya Vandana Yojana: Delhi’s Rekha Gupta government launched the ‘Ayushman Vy Vandana’ scheme on Monday (April 28). Under this, free health treatment of up to Rs 10 lakh will be provided to citizens aged 70 years or above the national capital.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri distributed the first ‘Vy Vandana Card’ to the beneficiaries in a program in the national capital.

What is Vandana Yojana?

Medical assistance of five lakh rupees will be provided free of cost annually under this scheme. Apart from this, an insurance cover of five lakh rupees will be provided under the Delhi government’s scheme, which will increase the scope of total health insurance to 10 lakh rupees.

Under the ‘Vy Vandana Yojana’, every registered senior citizen will be given a specific health card. This card will have their complete health records, regular health check -up information and emergency service details.

Under this scheme, all health tests for citizens of 70 years and above in Delhi will be completely free.

What did CM say?

CM said that today the elders of Delhi got new life. Now there is no concern, nor treatment helplessness. Ayushman Vy Vandana with both respect and health with the card. The elderly are no longer a burden, but the pride of the country.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta had earlier posted on ‘X’, “It is our top priority to serve the elderly. Now, the central and Delhi governments are providing health coverage of up to Rs 10 lakh to senior citizens aged 70 years and above. ”

He said, “secure the health of your loved ones. Get the ‘Ayushman Vy Vandana’ card today. ”
