Dividend Stock: The Vedanta Group has informed about the company’s board meeting on June 18, in which the interim dividend will be given to investors for FY 2026. The record date for interim dividend has been set on 24 June. There is a record date and cut-off date, after which the person buying the share is not entitled to dividend. This step is being taken under the company’s ongoing strategy to give returns to its shareholders. Let us know that earlier Vedanta gave a dividend of more than 40 rupees to his investors in the financial year 2025.
Millions spent in distributing dividend
The company is going to make this announcement after its recent financial performance. The company has given dividend to its investors this year as compared to last year. In May, Rs 11 per share, Rs 4 per share in July, Rs 20 per share in September and Rs 8.5 per share in December was paid as dividend. In this way, the company spent crores of rupees to distribute dividend.
In May, the company spent 4089 crores in distributing dividend at Rs 11 per share. In July, the company spent 1564 crores on the second dividend as Rs 4 per share. In September, the company cost Rs 7821 crore in distributing interim dividend at Rs 20 per share and for the financial year 2024-25, when the company announced the interim dividend at Rs 8.5 per share, Rs 3324 crore was spent in it.
Company financial results
Talking about the company’s financial performance, the company’s net profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2025 reached Rs 3,483 crore with a jump of 154.4 percent. The reason for this growth was given to low operating cost and increase in production value. In this quarter, the company’s income also increased to Rs 41,216 crore, which was Rs 36,093 crore last year. On June 13, Vedanta’s shares fell 0.47 percent on BSE to close at Rs 458.35.
