Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Monday (October 20, 2025) congratulated all the countrymen on the occasion of Diwali. To celebrate the occasion of Diwali in a unique way, Rahul Gandhi reached the famous sweet shop of Old Delhi, Ghantewala Sweet Shop, where he tried to make Imarti and gram flour laddus.
The former Congress President also posted a video of his unique Diwali on social media platform X. In the post, Rahul Gandhi is seen talking to the owner of a sweet shop. During this time, he can also be seen making Imarti and gram flour laddus in the sweet shop.
He wrote in his video post, ‘Tried my hand in making Imarti and gram flour laddus at the famous and historical Ghantewala sweet shop of Old Delhi. The sweetness of this centuries old prestigious shop is still the same – pure, traditional and heart touching. The real sweetness of Diwali is not only in the plate, but also in relationships and society.
Rahul Gandhi further said, ‘Tell us all, how are you celebrating your Diwali and how are you making it special?’

Sweet shop owner is waiting for Rahul Gandhi’s marriage
The owner of a famous sweet shop in Old Delhi, during his meeting with Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on the occasion of Diwali, said that now everyone is waiting for his (Rahul) marriage. The sweet seller said that Rahul Gandhi should get married soon.
In the video, the owner of the sweet shop can be heard saying, ‘We have served your grandfather Jawaharlal Nehru, grandmother Indira Gandhi, father Rajiv Gandhi and sister Priyanka Gandhi.
