Rohit jokingly asked Gill, “And brother, how are you?” To which Gill responded equally warmly. After this short moment both the teams went towards the bus.

Big test on Australia tour

The Indian team will play three ODI matches in Australia. The series will start from 19th October. This series is being considered as the first big test for Gill as captain. He has a golden opportunity to give new energy to the team and prove himself for future captaincy.

The first batch of the Indian team left for Perth from New Delhi at 9 am on Wednesday. This group included players like Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Arshdeep Singh, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel and Mohammad Siraj.

Whereas, the second batch which includes head coach Gautam Gambhir and other players, took off on the night of 15 October.
