While alighting from the Thane-CSMT local train, an elderly passenger suddenly lost his balance and started slipping between the platform and the train. Meanwhile, a ticket checker (TC) posted at the station ran without wasting a moment and saved the life of the elderly passenger. This entire incident was captured in the CCTV camera installed at the station, the video of which is now going viral on social media.
TC became an angel, saved the life of an elderly man falling from the train
According to eyewitnesses, the elderly passengers were trying to get off the local train as soon as it stopped. Due to age and crowd, his foot slipped and he started falling very close to the train. The circumstances were such that a delay of a few seconds could prove fatal. At the same time, the TC present nearby, sensing the situation, ran quickly. It is clearly visible in the CCTV footage that TC runs with full force towards the elderly passenger and drags him to the safe platform. Even before the people present around could understand anything, a major accident had been averted. The elderly passenger was immediately handled and given first aid.
