A speeding Thar caused a major accident near Ghamdoj toll in Gurugram. This accident is said to have happened on Monday (December 8) afternoon. In this incident that took place in Bhondsi area, a black Thar hit the Ford Figo car moving ahead at high speed from behind. The collision was so strong that the Figo car overturned four times and fell upside down.
The car driver suffered serious injuries to his head and shoulders in the accident. The passersby present at the spot immediately reached there and took out the injured youth and informed the police. After the incident was captured in CCTV footage, the police started immediate action.
How did the accident happen?
The incident happened at around 1:32 pm when the Figo car was going from Sohna towards Gurugram. The speeding Thar coming from behind suddenly hit him hard, due to which the vehicle went completely out of control. The speed of the collision was so high that the Figo car overturned several times and was badly damaged.

According to eyewitnesses, people reached the spot immediately after the accident and took the injured driver out of the car to a safe place. The CCTV footage not only showed the moment of the collision, but also clearly showed the entire picture of the car overturning and the help of the pedestrians. Police spokesperson Sandeep Kumar said that this is clearly a case of speeding and careless driving.
Accused arrested, Thar vehicle recovered
Bhondsi police station, after investigating the complaint, arrested the accused Thar driver from Alipur, Gurugram. The accused has been identified as 39-year-old Bharat, resident of Alipur. During interrogation, Bharat admitted that he was going to Gurugram for property dealing work in his brother’s Thar. He admitted that the speed of his car was high, due to which his Thar collided with the Figo car moving ahead. Along with taking the accused into custody, the police have also recovered the Thar vehicle used in the crime.
CCTV played an important role
Police say that high speed and ignoring the rules on the road are becoming the main reasons for such accidents. CCTV footage played an important role in this case and the accused could be identified quickly. At present, the treatment of the injured driver is going on and the police is taking further action in the case. Over-speeding incidents related to Thar are continuously coming to light in Gurugram, due to which the atmosphere of panic among the people is also increasing.
