Before 2023, the champion team of Vijay Hazare Trophy used to get only Rs 30 lakh as prize money. There was an increase of more than 3 times. Now, on becoming champion, the team gets a prize money of Rs 1 crore. That means Vidarbha got Rs 1 crore as prize money for becoming champion.
Runner-up prize money
Earlier in Vijay Hazare Trophy, the runner-up team used to get only Rs 15 lakh. This also increased more than 3 times after the new amendment. Saurashtra cricket team has received Rs 50 lakh for becoming runner-up.
