Vijay rupani news: Former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has been cremated with state honors on Monday (June 16). He was given 21 cannon salutes. Union Home Minister Amit and CM Bhupendra Patel also attended his funeral. He died in a plane crash accident in Ahmedabad. Vijay Rupani had a DNA match on Sunday (June 15).
Former CM Vijay Rupani was given a guard of honor in Rajkot. Earlier, Rajkot city police had arranged for route diversion and parking at various places. More than 1,500 personnel were deployed for security and management.

Half the tricolor
At the same time, under state mourning on the death of BJP leader Vijay Rupani, the national flag was bowed half on the important buildings of the state on Monday (June 16). The tricolor was hoisted by half bending the tricolor in Gujarat Legislative Assembly, Golden Complex 1, Gandhinagar (Chowk-0).
Air India plane went to the crash
Former Chief Minister Vijay was on the same Air India flight, crashed on June 12. In this, 241 passengers including the crew lost their lives. On June 15, around 11 am, the DNA sample of Vijay Rupani was matched. State Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi informed that he had a DNA match at around 11:10 am on Sunday morning.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi shared the information about DNA matching Vijay Rupani with his family. Gujarat Health Minister Rishikesh Patel told the media, “CM Bhupendra Patel went to the residence of former CM Vijay Rupani and told the family that DNA has been matched.”
