Congress asked for resignation
The opposition Congress has launched a scathing attack on BJP and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav government over this statement. Congress state president Jeetu Patwari said, “Do BJP and government agree with the statement of Minister Vijay Shah? If not, they should be dismissed immediately. I will write a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President JP Nadda and Chief Minister on this issue.”
Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar also demanded an apology from the country, calling the statement “shameful”. He said, “The army and its officers have no religion. They should not be seen as Hindus or Muslims. The only religion of the army is ‘country’. BJP’s language reveals its thinking.”
