Judge Vimal Kumar Yadav was sworn in as Justice of Delhi High Court on Tuesday (August 11). Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyay administered the oath of office to Justice Yadav. The swearing -in ceremony was held in the High Court premises. He took oath in Hindi. Other judges, senior advocates and family were present during this period.
After Justice Vimal Kumar Yadav became Justice, the total number of judges has increased to 44. The approved number of judges in the High Court is 60. In July, a total of 9 judges were sworn in as a judge of the Delhi High Court.
Justice Vimal Yadav has got promotion
Retired Judge Yadav of Delhi District Judiciary has been promoted in the High Court. The Center issued a notification on August 8 about his appointment as a judge of the High Court.
The Supreme Court Collegium on July 28 recommended Judicial Officer Vimal Yadav to be appointed as a judge of the Delhi High Court. His name was recommended seven months after his retirement.
Who is Justice Vimal Kumar Yadav?
Justice Vimal Kumar Yadav was born on 9 January 1965. B.Com (Hons) in 1985, LL.B. in 1986, LL.M. in 2006. Apart from doing, I got a postgraduate diploma degree in cyber law and internet. He has also written articles and poems etc. in Delhi Judicial Academy (DJA) Journal. He has two books, which are poetry collections.
In 1992, he joined Delhi Judicial Service and became a member of Delhi Higher Judicial Service in 2003. From 2008 to 2010, there was additional registrar in the Supreme Court for more than 2 years on deputation.
Justice Yadav has more than three decades of experience in the lower judiciary of Delhi and recently he has served as Principal District and Sessions Judge in Patiala House Courts.
