On Wednesday, March 18, the video of Kohli’s arrival in Bengaluru was shared by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) through social media. The video was made in a very filmy style. All the teams are finalizing their preparations for the upcoming season. The season will start from March 28.
Fans were waiting for Kohli to reach Bengaluru for a long time. Now he has reached Bengaluru and joined the RCB camp. While sharing Kohli’s video, RCB wrote in the caption, “You don’t need to see him… just to know that he is coming! Check the calendar. There will be signs.”
When will Virat Kohli play his first match?
The first match of the tournament starting from Saturday, March 28, will be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad. This match will be held at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, in which Virat Kohli will be seen playing. Therefore, fans will get to see the magic of Virat Kohli in the very first match of 2026 IPL.

King Kohli’s amazing performance last season
In the last season i.e. 2025 IPL, Kohli batted brilliantly and scored 657 runs in 15 innings of 15 matches at an average of 54.75 and a strike rate of 144.71. During this period, he scored 8 half-centuries, in which the high score was 73* runs. Now it will be interesting to see how he performs this season.
